The intent of the Centre d’animation François-de Laval, established in 1993, is to make known the life, the works and the spirituality of Quebec’s first bishop, after whom the Centre is named. It seeks to promote devotion to this iconic figure as a means of achieving his canonization. Half a million pilgrims come here every year, to engage in private prayer at his tomb!
Find out about François de Laval, the visionary; his boldly creative outlook; and his awe-inspiring body of work that lives on into the present day.
Attend the various activities we organize year-round: conferences, visits to the permanent exhibition, themed activities, pilgrimages, etc.
Meet a pilgrim – a dedicated pastor, a man of wisdom – and entrust him with your prayer intentions.
Do you have a specific project in mind? We would be happy to work with you on it.
